Metropolitan Ministries came to PPK with a challenge: transform a dessert street cart into a freestanding café whose proceeds fight homelessness and poverty.

A SWEET TREAT FOR A GOOD CAUSE
We created a playful name, Dough Nation, based on the café’s trendy cookie dough dessert items, and positive “treat yourself for a good cause” message. This clever play-on-words also helped unlock the brand’s lighthearted and fun visual identity.
Through subdued brand colors, a modern logo, beautiful food photography, and Instagram-able packaging, we positioned Dough Nation as THE premium cookie dough cafe in Tampa Bay.
Ultimately, the café yielded a 500% increase in weekly sales from Metropolitan Ministries’ previous restaurant concept in the same location, generating much-needed profits to help the Tampa community. And now we don’t have to feel guilty when we indulge in something sweet.
To our delight, excitement for Dough Nation rocked the entire city, with news outlets and publications covering its introduction to the downtown Tampa food scene.
