Backend AEMaaCS Developer

PPK is looking to hire a developer on contract for an ongoing Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service project. The candidate will augment a small team of frontend and full stack developers, and take ownership of the backend development process.

As the backend developer, you will primarily be responsible for creating components and servlets to get both JCR and third party API data into the hands of the frontend developers. The ideal candidate will utilize their thorough knowledge of AEM to provide additional guidance on best practices and the direction of the project. The project is currently in active development.

Remote work is a possibility for candidates in the United States only, with a strong preference for the Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the development of custom components and templates
Enabling i18n support for components
Writing unit tests
Integrating site & components with third-party OAuth APIs
Managing OSGi components and services
Writing search servlets
Creating and optimizing Oak indexes

Nice skills to have:

Security and pentesting
Performance and load testing
Integration testing
Familiarity integrating other Adobe products
Familiarity with frontend development, or experience working directly with frontend developers

Requirements:

Experience successfully developing backend code for and deploying projects using Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. Candidates who have only worked with on-prem or managed AEM services may be considered.
Adobe Certified Expert for Adobe Experience Manager Developer/Architect is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to pass a background check.
