PPK is looking for a part time Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing Agency! The Human Resource Coordinator will assist the Human Resources Officer with tasks through all areas of the HR Department. In addition to recruiting and placing new employees, this position also assists in guiding team members through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have about new policies.

The Human Resources Coordinator may also assist with administering benefits while being a liaison to answer any questions or handle any problems that arise. This position will also have a role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Screening and managing candidates to screen. Contacting references as needed, provide follow up emails to candidates as needed.
  • Complete I-9 verification and documentation; maintain I-9 files.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Officer.
  • Maintain the Agency calendar and schedule.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
  • Assist and provide correspondence as requested.
  • Prepare new-employee files.
  • Schedule internal trainings under the direction of the HR Officer.
  • Under the Leadership of the HR Officer, be a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions employees may have.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter attitude with great attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Reliable and personable – this candidate should enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals to ensure employee requirements and needs are met first.
  • Attentive listener and collaborator.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
