Creative Director

PPK is looking for a talented and motivated Creative Director to lead an established team within our Agency’s creative department. This candidate must possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of their team.

This candidate also needs to be a great partner to Account, Strategy, Social Media and Project Management teams. As well as being an exceptional collaborator with clients actively listening and understanding their true needs but also developing a trusting relationship that allows for the Agency to push for better and more surprising work.

As the creative director, you will work closely with all functions of the Agency to deliver engaging campaigns and content that meet the expectations of our clients. The ideal candidate should be extremely creative, dedicated, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Owns creativity, consistency and quality of output on assigned accounts.
  • Writes clear, cohesive creative copy for multiple channels (print, digital, broadcast etc.)
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team. Mentor junior creatives as needed, nurturing their ideas and monitor their overall performance.
  • Provide insight and assistance to overcome obstacles that arise with a project – offer viable solutions.
  • Present creative strategies to team/clients, oversee campaign development, and evaluate performance of creative staff.
  • Give updates on the progress of each project and stage of their development and creation phase to ECD.
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques and trends.
  • Spearhead and manage communications and content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects.
  • Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
  • Look for ways during the production process to improve the finished product.
  • Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate.
  • Sets priorities and manages workloads so assignments for the team are completed within agreed to timeframes.
  • Proactively works to improve clients’ businesses. Is considered an active voice and essential part of the team by lead clients.
  • Collaborate with leaders of different disciplines within the agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, writing, communications, journalism or other relevant fields preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years agency experience (5 years creative direction experience preferred).
  • Ability to keep track of multiple projects at different stages of completion.
  • Actively engages in evolution of brand personality and positioning.
  • Has strong presentation skills and is an expert client manager and creative negotiator.
  • A solid understanding of copy, web and design practices.
  • Understands the principles of production (print, online, broadcast etc.)
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
